Video-film presents video-interviews that were conducted between 9 May and 2 June 2011 in different cities across Croatia (Zagreb, Pakrac, Lipik, Vukovar, Dubrovnik, Split), Serbia (Novi Sad, Beograd, Niš, Niška Banja), Kosovo (Kosovska Mitrovica, Prishtina), Macedonia (Bitola, Skopje, Ohrid), Albania (Tirana), Montenegro (Podgorica, Cetinje, Herceg Novi), Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sarajevo, Mostar, Konjic, Banja Luka), and between 7-11 June 2011 in Turkey (Istanbul). More than a hundred individuals from different backgrounds – i.e. NGO and cultural workers, journalists, academics, theoreticians, scientists, researchers, activists, artists, workers, students, musicians, pensioners, street vendors, hairdressers, market sellers … were interviewed to present their vision of the situation in their country in light of the EU accession process and the EU enlargement strategy. By rethinking how their personal lives and their countries on the overall will be challenged in the enlargement process and after entering the EU, the interviewees opened up a broad field of topics and issues, in this way not only reflecting (upon) the dominant EU-narratives in their countries but also generating their (politics proper) agenda concerning various aspects of the enlargement process and beyond.
